Amy that's an interesting point I hadn't thought of.. would it be better to NOT have the things that make us feel blessed? There's definitly something to the fact that you don't "miss" something that you never had... and sometimes when we have we want more. Yet so often God chooses to bless with far more than we could ever "Ask or imagine." And as far as how to make it apply and real in our lives... THAT is the awesome question that's easy to avoid sometimes when we're studying!!

Here's a thought: We are human and created with a desire for "things." We enjoy what we're given, and I don't think that's always a bad thing, until it becomes a stronghold in our lives. We're out of perspective when we base our choices, emotions, and steps on "having more"... or on circumstances alone. Yet can we ever get rid of our natural human instincts? I learned a really freeing thing this past summer... when I can't change myself and I can't change my circumstances... sometimes it's not about changing either... it's about looking somewhere else altogether. Does that makes sense at all? A whole perspective change. Then ... GOD changes me. Thank goodness!!!

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face... and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace."

And a great way to do that is to take on an attitude of thankfulness, saying what you KNOW about God, and thanking Him for it... and slowly our focus will change!! So cool
